I am Kessia Marley DeWitt, a graphic designer from Alberta.

My current work stint is with MacEwan University’s School of Continuing Education as their Course Production Technician, where I develop graphics and illustrations for their different modes of learning, such as Articulate Rise, PowerPoint presentations, and videos. I also provide copyediting and quality control for the most polished course delivery within paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs (MacEwan’s digital learning environment, based on Moodle).

Initially starting out as the sole member of their Education Development team, this rapidly growing environment taught me how to collaborate with brilliant Instructional Designers and Subject Matter experts in order to deliver informative, engaging, and accessible learning resources to students.

I graduated from MacEwan University and NAIT with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and a Certificate in Graphic Communications, respectively. I loved the human-centered design methods and processes I learned in school and continue to apply them to my work. I prioritize taking a sustainable approach with my designs to create energy and time-efficient user experiences.

When not at work, I enjoy consuming art in all its forms—from literature to music, books, movies, drawings, and more. My mantra is, “If I’m not learning, working, or creating, I’m not at my fullest potential.”
