The Challenge
This project involved the design of a multiple-page product catalogue that contains different hierarchies of rich information content interacting with images and graphics.
A catalogue for the linen and bath collection Nestwell™ was created with the intention of unifying the existing brand with the professional layout of a catalogue. An emphasis was placed on everyday comfort, organic materials and affordability.
The Process
Content was sourced on my own, found either online or in existing printed materials. For instance, this product catalogue was designed with the intention to accompany an existing corporation—Bed Bath & Beyond. The catalogue was proposed to focus on one particular brand that was new at the time (as opposed to Bed Bath & Beyond’s flyers which advertised multiple brands at once).
Product names, SKU numbers, materials, pricing, and product descriptions—presented in tables and charts—added to the level of complexity of content in this project. Existing branding elements were used where applicable, and others were created to complement the catalogue design.
As an aside, I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond for 8 years—leaving shortly before their store closing and subsequent acquisition by Overstock in 2023. Because of my interesting mix of retail and design knowledge, I hold these types of projects very close to my heart.
