The Challenge
After developing the new brand system for Tobuso, my next step was to migrate and redesign their website. The original website was built on Squarespace, and after researching content management systems, and the help that Tobuso wanted to provide, I decided that the website would be migrated to WordPress. This way, I was easily able to publish new content and implement a wide variety of helpful plugins (it is also what inspired me to migrate my own portfolio to WordPress, too)!
Project Summary
But, before I could jump into learning a new web builder, I had to formulate a plan for the structure of the website. I started by developing wireframes for the site.
Upon receiving feedback on the index page, our team realised that we needed to step back and reexamine our company’s mission before making a site that was too ambitious.
After developing and facilitating multiple workshops for our team, I was able to better understand the streamlined focus of our new website, and used this knowledge to inform my next iteration of the website’s design.
Solution
Once this version was developed, I was able to start translating this prototype to the functioning website. Over time, I have continued to improve the brand identity and website to what it is today.
If you would like to take a peek at my most recent design of the website, or you would like help with your corporation or non-profit in Canada, you can visit Tobuso’s website here.
